Dear Mr.Shah,

You are quite active on various sites and I receive mail on various interests of the profession from you.

State of Uttarakhand has sufferred massive destruction both in terms of life and its assets during the devastation caused on 16th-17th June 2013.

A group moderated by few student activists of Delhi University belonging to Uttarakhand have started a campaign to bring back the people to the hills of this great state Uttarakhand. May I request you to kindly post this on all the mailgroup links that you are attached with.

It will not only be a great service to all  of us in Uttarakhand but also boost and rejuvenate the spirits of the young lads, who are the torch bearers of our future.

The Indian Armed Forces , National Disaster Management Team , Government and many NGO's left no stone unturned in rescuing the thousands stranded across Uttrakhand . Let us do our bit by bringing these people and many more back to the state , this time making them return with better and fonder memories . 'The Hills Are Safe' campaign is our effort to spread a good word about the state . Afterall no ceremony is started without the sprinkling of the precious drops of Gangajal by our beloved grandmothers and mothers , no trekking expedition completed by adventure seekers without scaling the heights of the Uttarakhand Himalayas , no special dinners held without the lingering aroma of Basmati, and the generally so lengthy discussions on the topic of schools isn't considered complete without a mention of some of the best institutions in India , which the state boasts of. What I require of my facebook friends is to visit our site http://www.hillsaresafe.in/ and be a part of the good cause by making a pledge to visit Uttarakhand in the coming winters and the near future. One can also share new facts, exquisite pictures and memories related to the state. For the lazy bums and the busy bees a simple 'LIKE' on the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/thehillsaresafe would be enough! Moreover after the massive response and the outpouring of support from the Miranda House teachers and girls today , we would be soon holding the campaign in others colleges of Delhi University as well. All those willing to volunteer and get further details about the cause can please drop me a message on Facebook , my number, or my email address. It would be a cause well served. :)
