	CBEC issues Guidelines regarding Structure, Administrative set up and Functions of Audit Commissionerate CBEC Circular No. 989/09/2014-CX., Dated: September 22, 2014   Dear All, We are pleased to share the following tax alert: CBEC had issued detailed cadre restructuring measures on 16/09/2014. Pursuant to such restructuring there would be 23 Central Excise Zones and 4 Service Tax Zones with each zone having one or more Audit Commissionerate. As part of the cadre restructuring in the CBEC, 45 new Audit Commissionerate will start functioning from next month. With regard to set up and functioning of the proposed Audit Commissionerate, CBEC has now released detailed guidelines regarding Structure, Administrative set up and Functions of Audit Commissionerate vide Circular No. 989/09/2014-CX., Dated: September 22, 2014.
