Re: [aaykarbhavan] Business Standard

Can someone  throw light on the fate on the recent direction of the Gujarat high court to the CBDT to extend the income tax return filing date till 30 th November ?

There is utter confusion in professional circle. Some says direction given by the high court is not valid out side the respective state which in my opinion & in this case looks funny. It has to be applicable all over  India.
Again if the CBDT has agreed to follow the direction then it should issue the relevant notification forth with so that there is no confusion.
Again if the CBDT does not wish to follow the direction then iT can file SLP in the Supreme Court challenging the direction.
CA  D J Shah can definitely throw some light.
