  Further, while considering Item No.43, `Suggestions on modifications in the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006 – Recommendation of the Executive Committee', the Council decided to form Electoral Reforms Committee with the following members:

• CA. J. Venkateswarlu, Convenor
• CA. Sumantra Guha
• CA. Babu Abraham Kallivayalil
• CA. Mukesh Singh Kushwah
• CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda
• CA. G. Sekar
• CA. Nilesh S. Vikamsey

Shri Rakesh Sehgal, Additional Secretary would act as Secretary to the above Group. Ms. Indu Arora, Additional Director (IT) would support on technology related issues.

The Council also decided to refer the suggestions on modification in the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006 received from CA. Sanjay Agarwal, Council Member and CA. V.K. Jhavar, Indore, as given in the agenda papers, to the above Committee for its consideration. The Committee would consider all issues relating to electoral reforms and usage of technology in elections, and submit its Report to the Council at the earliest.
