Dear Members,
At the outset, I wish to extend my heartiest thanks to all of you for your continued and complete support for the cause of the profession. This support is always a driving force for taking new initiates for the benefit of all. Growth that the accountancy profession has achieved in the recent past has been a product of sincere and coordinated efforts of all our stakeholders. I am writing this mail to share some of the significant initiatives and developments that have been taken place recently.
Before sharing initiatives, I wish to inform you that ICAI International Conference was successfully concluded in Kolkata on 23rd November, 2013, and a record number of about 3500 delegates have actively participated and deliberated on various issues related to profession. Inaugurating the Conference, Hon'ble President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee and Chief Guest on the occasion praised the sincerity with which the Chartered Accountants today are playing their role and coming all out in support of the Government's initiatives and measures. These words are great source of inspiration and give us more energy and strength to contribute for Indian economy and achieve inclusive growth with inclusive governance as mentioned by Hon'ble President of India.
