1. Benefits of Will:-
- The Will made by a person is called testator. Testator mention's name, address,
age and also mention's the property/s and its beneficiary/s.
- Every person of sound mind, not being minor may dispose of his property by
Will.
- Testator can make Will of his property for which he is the legal owner including
disputed or court matter.
- Testator names present/future person/s to whom the property passes on his
death.
- Will can be on plain or stamp paper. No stamp duty is payable.
- Will need not be registered.
- Will for abundant caution can be witnessed, may be notarized/registered.
- New Will automatically revokes earlier Will/s qua asset/s not person.
- One can choose to make executors or nominee of the will.
- Will is different from Nomination. The nomination continues only till the Will is
executed.
- Residuary clause means, Will to be specific for all properties. If residue clause is
not added, the property will be disposed of according to personal law. So it is
better to mention past, present & future property including movable/immovable,
tangible & intangible property.
- It can be in any language & more than one language.
- Please submit all details including immovable property ,locker no, policies,
shares etc, to avoid money going nowhere.
- Do legitimate tax planning in WILL.
- It is better to write now rather than waiting to be perfect.
2. Reverse Mortgage:- This scheme is introduced by government for person above 60 years, to fulfill their personal needs without selling their dwelling house. The money they can get it on monthly, quarterly, yearly or on lum sum basis as per need. The bank interest at 10.75 % as on date. For further details contact us or bank.
3. Consumer protection Act:- This is the right available to consumer for goods and services they pay for a price. The goods and services should be appropriate to the situation. If it is not so, we have a right to sue for damages, replacement or repair as per need. There is a forum for that, institutionalized by government.

5. Laws for Old Age persons:- There are many laws and fundamental rights as per constitution of India for senior citizen namely Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, Fundamental rights in constitution, Code of Criminal Procedure (Chapter IX, Section 125(1)(2)), Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956. The rights are in form of maintenance of older age ,as well in certain cases revocation of property transfer to beneficiary .
6. Investment may be made in fixed deposit, mutual funds, shares, immovable property etc. Fixed deposit shall be made by making choice from bank, cooperative bank, NBFC, manufacturing companies, debentures, bonds, debt fund, FMP. There needs to be right blend of investment qua rating , rate of return, maturity and knowing the risk factor. The risk factor depends on quantum of funds of deposit of an entity, rating, business in which the entity is working, financial performance of the entity , etc.
This above parameter is not a rocket science but common sense approach. Shares of good companies may be purchased for long term growth in portfolio of investment. Immovable property in right blend may be purchased. Warren Buffet is of same world where we are living. Do not put money in one basket. Spread judiciously. Spend judiciously. Use consultant. Use common sense.
