I join in your opinion. C O P is sufficient. Without allotment of Bank Audit in one year or so how experiences of bank audit would be calculated / counted ?
Without any allotment of Bank Audit no one would qualify for the Bank audit ever , even though he is FCA and completed 5 years of practice??!!

It is not sure, bank branch audit may continue for how many years. But to get allotment it is not necessary that you must have bank audit experience. Holding COP for three years is enough for a sole proprietor to get in to the list.Mohamed Shafi

Dear all, Concurrent Audit Fee is the main issue. The fees is less than a peons salary and we are expected to review all functions, starting from the branch head to the sub staff, for this fee, & report on the same. We can't afford to decline the appointment as we are asked for bank audit experience for other assignments. The people who are supposed to raise their voice on our behalf I.e. our elected representatives, maintain a deafening silence over this. Hope things would improve.

In my opinion the bankers do not want CAs to do concurrent audit. To avoid the same, they pay pea nut and put 'n' number of conditions so that at the end no CA come forwards to accepts concurrent audit and they can do the concurrent audit with their own staff
