[aaykarbhavan] Declared goods - CST

Hi

Section 15 of CST imposes restriction on states to not impose VAT at more than 4% in case of declared goods mentioned in section 14.

Does this mean that in case of local sale of declared goods, VAT rate muse be 4% or less.

In case of inter-state of declared goods, the CST rate will be
  • 2% or VAT rate (which has to be 4% or less)  whichever is lower against Form C
  • VAT rate (which has to be 4% or less) if no Form C is received.
