[aaykarbhavan] SERVICE TAX QUERY



hello sir,

Finance Act (No. 2), 2014 (as passed by Lok Sabha on 25/07/2014) Yet to be effected, proposed mandatory pre-deposit for purpose of Appeals, under section 35F of Central Excise Act, 1944. Further, the said section is applicable to Chapter V of Finance Act, 1994 vide Section 83.... Now my question friends is really pre deposit mandatory also in cases of Service Tax demand?
