1) A delegation representing TAR/Save Certification rights group, met with the worthy President of ICAI, at New Delhi.
2) This delegation handed over to the worthy President ICAI, a memorandum containing the concerns and suggestions of more than 1300 members, across the country on the allotment procedure, reduction in limit from 20cr to 6cr for branch audit .
3) Meeting started on very positive note and during half- and -hour meeting, worthy President, read the entire memorandum and congratulated the group members for very nice drafting and covering many issues, which hitherto were overlooked.
4) He assured the delegates, to discuss ,the matters raised and suggestions given in the memorandum, with the Chairman PDC and the PDC committee. He was quite hopeful , for restoration of previous limit of Rs. 6.oo cr, since the new government is having high regards for the CA profession.
5) Apart from the discussion on the memorandum, worthy President also expressed concern that on the issue of extension in TAR, matter of taking CBDT to the various High Courts, by the members of ICAI, is not welcomed by the CBDT.

7) The group also mailed brief of the memorandum to Sh. Hasmukh Adhiya, Secretary DFS, Ministry of Finance and PS to Hon’able Minsiter of Finance Sh. Arun Jaitley. Group is also seeking an appointment with RBI governor to hand over a copy of the memorandum.
8) We are also trying to represent to Govt.
