Further reply of RTI says, President in office has been authorised to depute ICAI nominees to International Travel for the business of the Institute. Such nominations have been need based and at present the President in office in his discretion nominates all ICAI representatives including himself to such forums. Currently, no fixed cap on the maximum number  of visits to be undertaken exists.  

 

Please Think:

 

Why there is no well laid down policy, duly approved by the Council for such foreign tours, defining the eligibility criteria, and the maximum number of foreign visits to be undertaken by each Council Member, including the President and Vice-President?

 

Whether any cost & benefit analysis has been done , with regard to the benefits , the ICAI and its members are deriving by spending such huge money on Foreign Tours?

 

 

When this much amount can be spent on foreign tours, why all post qualification or certification courses can not be offered on nominal fee?

 

Why uniform policy for use of library by students, for no charging from students can not be made?
