The Council at its 326th meeting held from 27th to 29th July, 2013 at New Delhi, while considering an issue raised by CA. Tarun J. Ghia vide his e-mail dated 23rd March, 2013 and two issues raised by CA. Atul Kumar Gupta vide his e-mails dated 5th June, 2013 and 8th July, 2013 under Item No.2, `Matters of General Interest to the Profession', decided to form a group to consider issues relating to equitable audit allotments, development of a mechanism to control tendering system and introduction of ceiling on number of concurrent audit of banks per firm, with the following composition:-

In view of the above, I invite the members to convey their specific views. It would be more helpful, if along with the problems and issues, suggestions are emailed with probable solutions. All situations wherein empanelments are required, or improvements are needed in empanelment procedures, or improvements are needed in allotments, or all aspects concerning bank concurrent audit empanelments, allotments, or tendering systems and all aspects concerning equitable distribution of audit opportunities may be addressed by the members.
