Dear Senior Members
I have a applied for MVAT registration for one of my client under Voluntary Registration by paying fees of Rs. 5000 and deposit of Rs.25000 and have also given introduction of one reputed client.
The officer has found that introducer has to pay some liability of Rs 10000 for his purchases of 2010-11 because of some set off claim issues but the liability is not as per his (Introducer's) return and the officer is asking to get chalan from that party.
My question is
1. Is the department right to not give registration even after paying deposit and fees ?
2. Department has asked to give introduction of registered dealer but he is not suppose to get collection on behalf of department. ?
If the same way continuous then no one will give introduction as even if one person files wrong returns then there will be liability as per issue based audits then no person will be able to get registration.
Kindly give your valuable advise.
Thanks in advance
