Dear Friends,

The recent focus on non complying tax payers especially those who have taken registration and not filed returns and those who have collected tax and deposited by way of possible arrest while possibly a good measure to frighten the citizen to pay taxes due could be misused by the Superintendents  Inspectors who could threaten the compliant assessees also or force those who have a genuine doubt on the liability / have a different view to toe the executives line!!! This would be a catastrophe to India's democratic image.
