[aaykarbhavan] Notice U/s 148 based on AIR for AY 2006-07

Dear Friends,

 My client has received notice U/s 148 of the Income Tax Act for opening of assessment for AY 2006-07, on objecting the same, the reasons for opening of assessment was provided by dept as AIR Information, Mutual Fund investment for Rs. 2,00,000/-.

The said mutual funds were only purchased during the previous year.

Kindly advice the documents to be furnished to AO, so that the complete assessment is not opened U/s 147 & 

also weather AIR Information can be basis for notice U/s 148, when Balancesheet filed with department discloses investment made as indicated by AIR.
