[aaykarbhavan] Foreign units disappear from U.S. corporate reports



 
Offshore subsidiaries of big U.S. companies, including FedEx, Google and Oracle, are quietly disappearing from financial filings. Public companies are required to disclose only foreign units that are "significant" to their operations. Oracle's 2010 annual report shows more than 400 foreign subsidiaries, but the 2012 report shows only eight, five of them in Ireland
