Kudos to all of them , if it is true and correct. But i would say that these seats to be given to a proper person who can look after for profession and professional , who may keep head of our Institution high and profession at heights.
Keep it in mind.
Do not allow to enter another element against of interest!!! I would pray to Madhukarji to consider to contest this election for all of us interest  ............................

Dear All

I am in receipt of certain information from reliable & confirmed sources that 4 members ( Gokhale, Sarda, Bhavana and Atul Bheda) are not contesting in the forthcoming Council elections and wants to pave a way for new comers; once again western India is  as usual demonstrating its forward looking agenda. At this juncture let me state that Gokhle & Bhavana have completed 3 or more terms and Sarda & Bheda have completed just 2 terms, yet they have taken this kind of decision when there is no legal bar.

Similarly I have information from,  reliable sources , that SK and Murali are also contemplating in the same direction of  leaving the office of council as they have completed 12 and 9 years at council respectively. However, some sources are still telling me that these two are canvassing aggressively for the forth coming elections

In addition, I have news that Abhijit and Manoj Fadnis are being requested by several Council members & other members not to contest in the forth coming elections

If the news received by me is true & correct, and if the above mentioned council members have decided or deciding not to be in fray in 2012 elections, either for the reasons of ethical &    or other grounds or any other reason I salute to them for such action..............I know  very few persons who enjoy power leave the power at appropriate time and they really need enormous courage & conviction to do so

In case the persons stated supra does not contest and leave the council, they deserve standing applause from one and all; history remembers  their name forever as they have voluntarily foregoing their statutory right and paving way for new comers

For generations, public remember those who set trends, leave positions for a nothing in return  (whatever the cause maybe) and consider them as far better individuals than those who do not.

Dear All

I received calls and emails from several persons and therefore some clarification from persons from Big firms as well as small firms

What if Abhijit contests for the position of P? Who will be of my preference for that position

Obviously, going by the principle, I will opt for Abhijit

But he belongs to MAFIA(Multinational Accounting Firms Indian Affiliate) - do I support MAFIA

I clarify - Just because he is from MAFIA, he can not be disowned

Any of his actions which harm SMP (Small and Medium Practitioners)  can be countered by collective mechanism 

After all, there is no President from MAFIA in the recent past of 15-20 years and therefore allowing one from MAFIA should not be a reason

As already stated in my earlier email, he being presidential material, if contests, deserves my first preference subject to extraordinary display of qualities by Subhod

I would like to make a statement here - this clarification email is without any Quid Pro Quo - As several QPK issues are surfacing in AP politics, I am making this statement else you may assume even I am taken care overnight

Dear All

I attended regional conference of SIRC of ICAI at Bangalore for 2 days 18th & 19th of this month. Certain number of members have posed a question to me in one of the encounters of mine as to whom I will support in the elections of VP & P, if am elected to Council of ICAI in the forthcoming elections 2012

I started thinking about the same and have come to a decision of my choices for the positions of highest offices and decided to share with one and all - I promised to the group that I will openly state my choices with reasons with in 48 hours after conclusion of the Regional Conference.

First Year - 2013-14

for President's Position - Although I am in principle against the concept of accepting VP of Previous year as P, for this year will go along with regular practice and vote for sitting VP as P. The reason is simple - my very little interaction with Subodh, I got confidence that he may introduce and bring certain positive changes required for profession at large

For VP Position - I will vote for Mahesh Sarda & Manoj Fadnis with a clear submission that they should be willing to exit Council with that position (order of preference) - I want to break the tradition of VP becoming P, a stand taken by me as a suggestion and sent through email on 17th of January, 2012 to you all. You may wonder why these two names for VP and the reason is simple - West has produced several P's and thus Sarda has no option but to retire as VP; Fadnis is a member and gogetter but as per my understanding and interaction may not be the material from the top position

Second Year - 2014-15

for President's Position - I will vote for JV & Raghu in the order of preference; if they are contesting for this position; else they will never get my vote / preference - The reason is my feeling towards my region - first preference is to JV is because till now there is no President from AP / Hyderabad and thus he gets a better preference than Raghu. Bangalore / Karnataka has already produced a President. 

For VP Position - I will vote for Abhijit & Gokhale in the order of preference ; two more stalwarts who have to exit from Council as this being the last term for these two members who are subject specialists - I am unable to recommend these two names for president-ship is because when in 13-14 P is from East, in 14-15 Abhijit being from East looses my priority for the position of P. As West has already produced several P's till now, I am unable to recommend Gokhale who is from west. These two are President material but I can not help

Third Year - 2015-16

for President's Position - I will vote for Adukia & Anuj goel in the order of preference; if they are contesting for this position; else they will never get my vote / preference - The reason is both are highly qualified with number of degrees and in true sense can sell any thing to any body - to be precise can sell ice in Antarctica to Eskimos.     

For VP Position -  Any member who has come to Council in 2009 elections or in 2012 elections who promises to exit from Council. 

Assumptions

• The above state members get elected to council
• They are willing to go against earlier traditions
• They agree that informally elections to the top positions for 2014-15 & 2015-16 are also decided during elections to the top positions of 2013-14 (this was also suggested in my previous mail stated supra)
• The council members are willing to be CA (Compromising & Adjusting) 
• All the other council members respect and are willing to see off their seniors by allowing them to hold office of top position
• The names not stated above, in final term, compete with the names stated above
• Those in first term / second term will test their luck in the next term (2016-19)- or the term next to next term(2019-22)
• I will not be contesting for any position
