Be careful about 26 AS . TDS deducted and other things. Confirm that there is no concealment of income. Check also time barring position also. There is not undisclosed income, concealment of any income. Make sure also.,

Dear Learned Members, 

 

Kindly guide regarding the course of action to be followed in the following case. 

 

One of my friends has received a questionnaire from the Income-tax department, New Delhi related to his income for A.Y. 2010-11 & A.Y. 2011-12. The questionnaire
is dated 13/03/2013 & asks the recipient to reply within 10 days. Unfortunately, the questionnaire was sent to my friend's old address & he collected it
only yesterday, 13/04/2013. 

 

During A.Y. 2010-11 & A.Y. 2011-12, his only source of income was salary income & excess TDS was deducted in both years. Unfortunately, since my friend
was going through some family problems during those years, he has not filed his income-tax returns for both those years.
